1) All items are sold with no reserve. That does not mean they start at $1...I am not that stupid! :-) BUT. They are starting below cost! These are not typical auction merchandise. Many have been appraised by one of Canada's top appraisers, Steven Knight. He recently was mentioned in a CBC exclusive. Many items are worth thousands of dollars. No reserve means that once the first bid has been placed, they will sell even if no one else bids. Until auction gets known there will be some outstanding bargains! Getting too old I am selling off while i can still help make a difference.
2)If you live in Grey Bruce area, the folks at Kimberly General store have agreed to let people pick up larger items there to save on shipping. Art is expensive to ship. AND... their fantastic sourdough bread REALLY makes the trip worthwhile! Also, the auction is for the benefit of our local shelter, Grey Bruce Animal Shelter, Owen Sound and items can be picked up there. Meaford store The Cats Meow will also allow pick up. . Smaller items I will absorb cost of shipping if combined total of order is at least $100. Below that I must charge $10. For larger items, if you cannot pick up locally, contact me to find out cost to ship.
3)Better items are kept in a secure location in Owen Sound, and can take a day or so for me to retrieve.
4) The site for the auctions is for charities, and they offer some cool items on consignment. Check them out! The charity gets 10% of the price.
5) if you have not done so, make sure you read the Important Notes page, at least once, as it applies to all my listings.
6) If listing is missing video, please ask. If I have one I will upload. I get behind in listing...
7) Many of our listings have been appraised by one of Canada's most respected Master valuers, used by the government, cbc, etc.See article on him here. re. a recent investigation he was a part of.
